Hammerhead Industries has introduced the Gear Keeper RT3-5563 Super Force Sidearm Retracting Tether, developed for use in military, law enforcement and tactical situations. This new Gear Keeper model is designed with 24 ounces of retracting force with a maximum extension of 32 inches. While not designed to retract a firearm, the Gear Keeper RT3-5563 will suspend a fully loaded handgun. This prevents sidearms from hitting or dragging on the ground if dropped or released, preventing loss or damages in close quarters. A strong but defined break point of 80 pounds allows the weapon to break free should it become entangled. Gear Keeper's Quick Disconnect system also allows the firearm to be instantly disconnected from the tether.
